During the week of Nov. 13-16, Edgewood will be participating in Operation Candy.  We will be collecting leftover Halloween candy from all of you and donating it to be sent to our military personnel overseas.  Please contribute if you can!

Since this is the giving season, we hope you will also participate in our Toy Drive for CHOC Hospital patients.  We will begin collecting new, unwrapped toys on Nov. 19th and continue collecting until Dec. 14th when the local Harley Davidson chapter and Santa will arrive to pick up our donated toys and deliver them to CHOC.  Again, please be a part of this wortwhile cause.

 Of course, we have our usual array of field trips (JK, 1st, 2nd and 5th), assemblies (Imagination Machine, Honor Roll), and performances (7th grade performance of The Pajama Game, 4th grade holiday performance), and sports (volleyball and flag football are ending and basketball is beginning). Nov. 16th is Family Bingo Night sponsored by the EC Parent Association - always a fun event.

Note the upcoming holidays: Nov. 12th we celebrate Veterans' Day; Nov. 22-23 is Thanksgiving Break; and Dec. 21 through Jan.6 is the Winter Break.  School will reconvene on Monday, Jan. 7th.  Remind your children to give as well as receive, and be safe during these special holidays.
