The second half of October is a busy time.  Mastery testing for Language Arts and Math in grades 1-6 will be administered tomorrow and Thursday.  Also on Thursday, your child should be bringing home a progress report. Friday is no school for students, as we are holding parent/teacher conferences.  If you have not been given a conference time yet, please contact your child's homeroom teacher.

Edgewood debaters have their first league competition on Saturday, October 20 in Chino Hills.  We wish them luck!

Next week is Red Ribbon Week.On Monday students wear bright colors, Tuesday is Mix Match Day, Wednesday students will be wearing their favorite team jerseys, Thursday students will wear caps or hats with their school uniforms, and Friday traditionally is Red Day.  On Friday we will judge the homerooms' posters and banners and declare the winners.  During Red Ribbon Week we discuss the merits of saying no to drugs and other substances.

The last week brings a trip to the Pumpkin Patch for kindergartners, a Magician's Assembly for those who participated in the Gift Wrap Fundraiser, and the annual Edgewood Halloween Parade!
